Ocean has just learned to tie bows (not taebo!).
I am pretty impressed cause I didn't learn to tie bows on my own until 1st grade, although Caleb remembers learning in Kindergarten. Ocean hasn't even begun Kindergarten; he will begin in the fall.
I told him that was quite an accomplishment and that I was proud of him. He was quick to tell me of his next personal goals.
"Next I need to learn to ride my bike in grass, ride my bike without small wheels and do flips on hard surfaces."
It took me a minute to think these through. These are great goals. He can ride his bike on pavement- that's easy, but riding in grass IS a bit harder. And the small wheels he is referring to are training wheels (I wasn't even aware that he knew they could come off!). As for flips- he does some somersault tumbles (which he calls "flips in the air") on our neighbors trampoline- which is a soft surface. Apparently he hopes to be able to do flips on hard surfaces. I hope he doesn't try concrete.
