Jag has become a little mommy at our house. Ever since we came home with our newly adopted son Denekew she has been copying everything I do with her dolls. Each day she acts out situations that happen with Denekew with her dolls like using the stroller, rushing to make a bottle to giving baths and changing dirty diapers!
She received a 10 piece doll play set over a year ago for her birthday from Uncle Ryan and has never played with it as much as she has in the last month! She's got the stroller, portable bed, swing, bouncy seat and high chair that get used on a daily basis. Besides using her own play baby accessories, every time I go to put Denekew in HIS Johnny-Jumper, swing or the bouncy seat I have to unbuckle a baby doll first.
In her Easter basket we gave her 2 packages of pretend baby doll diapers to (hopefully) keep her from stealing the diapers from Denekews changing table dresser and putting them on her dolls and then throwing them away when they are "poopy" (pretend poopy, mind you). I have retrieved many pretend poopy diapers from the trash to reuse on Denekew!
We have had to set some new rules at our house since bringing Denekew home. Here they are:
*No feeding Denekew without asking
*No picking up Denekew
*No sitting on Denekew
*No putting chapstick on Denekew
*No making bottles on your own
*No climbing up into the crib
*No swinging Denekew while he is sitting in the Johnny-Jumper
*No jumping Denekew while he is in the Johnny-Jumper or the bouncy seat
*No piling heaps of toys on Denekew
I'll try and add photos of her antics soon!
