Vocabulary Deficiency

Ocean, like many 4 year old boys, picked up on guns despite mother's efforts. However picking up on guns didn't give him any terms or vocabulary. Something I was unaware of until recently.

I've been trying to figure out what he's been talking about for months. I finally just shrugged it off as "potty talk". The words he's been using oddly is "pee" and "peed". But recently he's been given three 18gallon tubs of dad's childhood lego's and has built airplanes, spaceships, rockets and race cars non-stop. And built onto all airplanes, spaceships, rockets and race cars are, you got it, GUNS!

And now it all comes together. Guns pee. Kinda makes sense in a 4 year old way. I suppose his first "gun encounter" was a squirt gun. And not having the term "shoot" lead him to use the term "pee" instead.

I hear him in the playroom building with lego's: "The airplane peed down all the bad guy robots!"

I'm not sure which is worse.
